Everything about the new minivan

This upcoming season, you'll be hitting the road with Portugal Nomads in a brand new minivan. Our old Fiat Doblo is being replaced with a more spacious and stylishly furnished Fiat Scudo. The perfect minivan for your road trip through Portugal!

After a long search for the ultimate minivan for Portugal, we finally settled on the Fiat Scudo. This van is agile enough to maneuver through the city but also provides enough space to offer more comfort than just a bed. Especially since it’s the extended version (L3), the minivan offers more space and comfort than smaller vans like the Fiat Doblo.

The van is manual and equipped with a modern media screen and a rearview camera. Power is supplied by a handy battery that automatically charges while driving. Usually, that's more than enough, but just to be safe, we also provide you with a solar panel. Want to charge extra? You can buy power at most campsites.

When you enter through the sliding door, the first thing you see is a kitchen area with a built-in fridge and a sink connected to two water tanks (for clean and dirty water). If you look to the left, you'll spot a spacious double bed measuring 140×200 cm, complete with bedding and fresh linens. The comfortable mattress consists of two parts and sits on a pull-out frame, allowing you to transform the bed into a bench during the day. The minivan is tastefully finished with wood and features various cabinets to store your belongings. There's also plenty of space under the bed for larger items like bags.

With our old minivans, we often received feedback that it could get (too) warm inside – understandable, given the climate in the Algarve. That's why we've now opted for maximum airflow, featuring a roof window with electric ventilation, folding windows, and air conditioning while driving.

We'll provide you with a cooking stove and all the necessary cooking gear to cook for yourself during your trip. Additionally, the minivan has a large awning that you can extend, so you can relax in the shade at your own outdoor table with chairs.
